Meet tiny Xavier. A perfect baby…cute as a button and adored by his gorgeous parents Sharon and Neil.
You would never know that 4 months ago he entered the world 15 weeks too early. I can only imagine the battles his tiny body has fought.. and won. Now he is home, safe and sound…and I was given the honor of photographing him….and it was a real honor. I can’t tell you how many times I gazed at this perfect baby, and truly believed in miracles. Being a perfectly normal baby Xavier decided that photo time was time to play. For well over two hours he was fed and cuddled, sang to and rocked…even Elvis couldn’t send him to sleep. I enjoyed a cuppa and party pies (excellent!)…and eventually (after a little calisthenics routine and song) he fell into a lovely deep sleep!
Sharon and Neil…it was just lovely to meet you both, and your precious little man. I’m so glad we held out for the sleepy shots!

I have lived in Melbourne for most of my life…I grew up with our dry, hot summers, sudden cool changes and wet, cold winters (they’re not so wet anymore though..)…so I should have been prepared for the unpredictable weather on the weekend. After weeks and weeks of balmy summer evenings, this one caught me by surprise. It was cool and cloudy…but still a perfect afternoon for a photo shoot in one of Melbourne’s beautiful gardens.
Meet Tania, Sash and their three gorgeous children. We had such a lovely afternoon wandering and exploring the gardens…we had such a lovely time that before we knew it the kids were tired and grumpy…and it all came to an end!

Last Sunday we had a gorgeous afternoon with friends…sitting in a sunny beer garden, listen to Wilbur Wild and his band…eating good food, and enjoying good company. The kids enjoyed exploring the place..and we enjoyed the simple pleasure of a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Well I think Anne is beautiful and TOTALLY photogenic!! What amazing light you had to work with too.
Photographing a baby at around 12 weeks can be perfect…but as I explained to Andre’s Mum Jane…things don’t always go to plan. We booked in our session to coincide with Andre’s morning nap…but like most babies, he chose not to follow his usual routine, so when I arrived he was teary, tired and certainly wasn’t going to smile. That’s the great thing about custom photography, unlike a rushed studio or shopping centre environment, there is no hurry. I allow plenty of time for your baby to settle, have a feed and have plenty of cuddles. Once Andre drifted off to sleep we were able to get some gorgeous shots of him…even a smile!

No matter how often I photograph newborn babies…I am always amazed at how tiny they are. Little fingers and toes, tiny arms and legs…perfect little faces.
Sweet baby Lucas was already 3 and a half weeks old when we met. Mel and Charlie were hoping to get some shots with his eyes open…well no problems there…he was gazing around the room for most of my visit, wondering about his new wonderful world no doubt. So it took a bit of perseverence to get this little guy to sleep.

Meet Dannii, Israel and their gorgeous young family.
It’s always flattering to be chosen to photograph a family, child or baby…and even more so when the client is a photographer herself!
I have the greatest admiration for anyone with more children than I have…add a set of twins in there….and I know how busy life must be! After 3 beautiful little girls, this family has been blessed with a spunky little boy.

Matt and Connie recently moved to the seaside…so a seaside wedding was planned…
The day was glorious…sunny with a light breeze. The location was sublime, the bride was beautiful, the groom was dashing…and the wedding, perfect in every way:

Your first wedding photos, but looking at them I don’t think they will be your last. I love the photo of everyone together best, the way that the couple are so still and their family and friends are not. Fantastic work Cazz
